Step 1:
Turn on English subtitles and watch the whole video once. Just get the vibe and overall meaning.
(Already pretty advanced? You can skip this step!)

Step 2:
Now switch to Chinese subtitles and watch it again.
Start noticing phrases or sentences you didn’t catch the first time.

Note: The Chrome extension subtitles won’t show tone changes. For tones, follow the transcript.

Step 3:
Open the full transcript and go through it slowly. Highlight any unfamiliar words or sentences.

Step 4:
Study the Anki flashcards and listen to the audio recordings - anywhere you are, anytime, as much as you need!
They include native + colloquial pronunciation, usage tips, and example sentences.

Find the English lines in the transcript and ask yourself:
“How would I say this in Mandarin?”
